How long have you been attending Bombshell Bootcamp?
I’ve been coming to Bombshell Bootcamp for almost a year now!
Why did you decide to try the camp?
My roommate, Hannah, raved about Bombshell Bootcamp and convinced me to come for a Saturday morning workout over the summer. I was immediately hooked! The work-out was amazing and exhausting; I could barely walk up the stairs afterwards, but loved the work out so much, I signed up for the next camp. After trying so many different work outs around town, I feel like I’ve finally found one that I want to keep doing!
What is your favorite workout we do at bootcamp?
I think it’s a tie between Tabata Tuesdays and any kind of hill workout. They both encourage me to push myself, and I love that!
Is there an exercise we do at bootcamp that you have a love/hate relationship with?
Probably Tabata and hill workouts!! They’re always a great individual challenge – you can push yourself for that hour and feel great afterwards! (well, maybe a little exhausted, but still great!)
Have you lost weight, gotten faster or stronger and if so – can you tell us about it?
I have definitely lost weight since starting Bombshell bootcamp. I’ve also noticed that I am much stronger, faster and have more endurance for longer runs.
What advice do you have for new girls starting camp?
All you have to do is show up and give it your all! Don’t limit yourself to what you think you can do – I’ve been continually surprised by how much more I’m able to do each week.
What keeps you motivated?
Watching all of the other girls at bootcamp work so hard! There are definitely days when I feel less motivated than others, but watching everyone else give it their all encourages me to do so, as well.
Would you recommend Bombshell Bootcamp to a friend? How would you describe the camp to them?
I would absolutely encourage friends to try Bombshell Bootcamp. It’s the best work out in Houston, and believe it or not, it’s actually fun! Every day is different, so you’re never bored and Cari and Carrie are always coming up with new ways to challenge you. The workouts are tough, and allow you to really push yourself, but there’s great camaraderie amongst the girls in camp. There’s a certain bond that comes when you’re doing hill sprints together!
How would you describe the trainers: Cari & Carrie?
Cari and Carrie are amazing! They are great motivators and are always encouraging. They do a great job of creating an environment that is challenging, but very welcoming. They’re always available for questions about aches and pains, training, nutrition, etc. Thanks to their great workouts, I’m getting stronger and leaner!
Tell us something fun or interesting about yourself that others at the camp may not know.
I love to fly fish!
